What is a Candidate?
A candidate is a single person who has submitted a profile to be considered as a potential match for one of our active clients.
What Joining the Candidate Network Means
Our clients hire Maryland Singles Social Club to personally search for, evaluate, and introduce them to compatible singles. When we begin working with a client, we review both our existing Candidate Network and new candidate applications to identify people who may align with that client’s relationship goals, preferences, lifestyle, values, and overall compatibility.
Candidates do not receive an independent matchmaking search. Instead, they may be contacted when we believe they could be a strong potential match for a current client.
Our Director personally reviews every profile submission. While anyone may apply, not every applicant is selected for introductions.

Personal review
Our Director personally reviews your information for possible placement in the Candidate Network.
Compatibility consideration
Your profile may be considered when we are searching on behalf of a client who appears compatible with you.
Availability confirmation
When we identify a potential match, we may contact you to confirm that you are still single, available, and interested in learning more.
The introduction
If both parties are open to the introduction, we will explain the next steps and coordinate the initial meeting.
Your personal contact information is not provided to another single simply because you join the network. Any potential introduction is facilitated through Maryland Singles Social Club.
What Joining the Network Does—and Does Not—Include
Joining the Candidate Network gives you an opportunity to be considered for curated introductions. It does not guarantee that you will be matched or contacted.
What participation does not include
Does not guarantee any number of introductions
Does not include an active or individualized search on your behalf
Does not guarantee an interview, consultation, or ongoing communication
Does not require you to accept an introduction
Does not create an obligation for Maryland Singles Social Club to place or retain an applicant in the network
Does not create an obligation for a client to select or meet a candidate
Eligibility and compatibility
We accept applications from singles ages 25 to 75 throughout the DMV. Anyone who meets the basic eligibility requirements may apply, but not every applicant will be selected for placement or introductions.
Compatibility involves much more than age and location. We also consider relationship goals, family plans, lifestyle, values, availability, geography, presentation, stated preferences, and the preferences of the client for whom we are searching.

A more active Candidate Network experience
More Opportunity. More Choice. A More Active Role.
Candidate+ is a limited, paid option for singles who want to move beyond passive placement in our Candidate Network but are not ready to invest in a full matchmaking membership.
Standard participation
The Candidate Network
As a standard candidate, you are eligible to be considered when your profile aligns with one of our paying private clients. While that can create a meaningful opportunity, our Director may be working with approximately 30 private clients at any given time.
Expanded participation
Candidate+ dramatically expands that pool.
Instead of being considered only for our current paying clients, Candidate+ allows you to consider other eligible candidates within our broader network. With more than 1,000 active candidates—and new singles joining every day—this exponentially increases the number of potential matches available for consideration.
The personalized search
Curated profiles selected for you
During your 30-day Candidate+ experience, our Director conducts a short-term, personalized search and presents up to 10 curated profiles selected from the broader Candidate Network based on your preferences, relationship goals, lifestyle, and compatibility factors.
Mutual interest
You choose who you want to meet
You review the profiles and identify the individuals you would be interested in meeting. We then reach out to determine whether there is mutual interest. When both people are interested, available, and eligible to participate, Maryland Singles Social Club facilitates the introduction.

Think of this profile as your introduction: What would you want a potential partner to know about your personality, lifestyle, values, interests, and the type of relationship you hope to build?
The more authentic and detailed your responses are, the better we can understand who you are and how you may align with someone in our network.
