WHY DATING FEELS HARD. ATTACHMENT AND PATTERNS THAT HOLD US BACK.

If dating has felt harder than it should, you’re not alone, and you’re not imagining it.

We see it firsthand and hear it all the time. Singles are showing up, putting themselves out there, and still walking away thinking… why does this feel so difficult? Why doesn’t it ever last? What am I doing wrong?

So we’re bringing in a Coach/Therapist to lead a conversation that goes deeper than surface-level advice.

Why Does Dating Feel Hard?
Attachment & Other Issues in Dating

This will be a candid, grounded talk led by a professional who works directly with men and women navigating these exact challenges in real life.

Here’s a preview of what will be covered:

Attachment styles and how they show up in dating
Why some people lean in quickly, others pull back, and how those dynamics create confusion.

Why “chemistry” can be misleading
Not every strong connection is a healthy or sustainable one.

The role of expectations and timelines
How unspoken rules around dating progression can create pressure instead of clarity.

Over-filtering and decision fatigue
How profiles, preferences, and too many options can actually limit real connection.

Emotional availability and mixed signals
Why interest doesn’t always translate into follow-through.

What alignment actually means
And why two people wanting the same outcome on paper doesn’t always equal compatibility.

Our goal is to create space for singles to better understand what they’re experiencing, and walk away with a clearer perspective on how to approach dating in a way that might actually help them. Because the reality is, dating is not just about who you meet..it’s about how you show up, how others show up, and how those two things foster a healthy viable connection.

We hope you’ll join us for this one.

Disclaimer: This talk is meant to inform and inspire -it is not therapy or clinical advice, and attending does not create a therapist-client relationship. While the speaker does hold an LCPC in Maryland, the presentation is offered in an educational and coaching context. For personal mental health concerns, we encourage you to reach out to a licensed professional. In a crisis, call or text 988.
